I had a consultation with Sustainable Design Build regarding a basement project, and even though the project ended up being too small for the type of work they typically take on, Mike McCarty still spent a tremendous amount of time helping me. He patiently answered my questions, shared his knowledge, and provided multiple referrals for mold remediation, testing, and construction professionals who could better fit my needs. At no point did I feel rushed or dismissed. In fact, he went above and beyond to help me move forward with my project even though there was no benefit to his company. We reached out to Sustainable Design build while looking at different general contractors for our home in Denver. Being in the very early stages, we weren't sure about which direction to go with our home whether it would be a pop top and building a home addition or remodeling our whole house. From the very beginning, the team was straightforward and transparent about what was realistic for our house and budget. They were educated and knowledgeable about Denver building codes, we even learned we could build an ADU if we wanted to. Mike was especially helpful, laying out what our home actually could be within the budget we set, which was nice comparatively to some other companies we talked with who just seemed ready to sign us on without much of an idea.
